Day 1 - Introduction, Tutorial, Summoning, Fuyuki first half

I quite enjoy Fate/Grand Order, but I've been playing it as a waifu simulator with the only goal of maxing out my gold servants exclusively and not taking the game for what it is.

Basically...

Actually bought this as a starter account from a re-roller. Already
had Gil, Sca, and Atilla right after the tutorial. Jeanne was from
the guaranteed 5* event. I rolled all of the 4* though.
  • Bought a stacked re-roll starter account.
  • Steamrolled through content with gold servants.
  • I barely know anything about the game despite months of playing (don't even know the names of some silver/bronze servants and CE's, and what the skills of my own servants do).
  • Mashu is awesome but I can't really find much use for her. I'd actually like to use her as my main servant.

Figured I'd make a fresh free-to-play account and experience the game like the average player and share my experience. I'm hoping to learn more about the game along the way.

Fast forward past the tutorial and the slow animations... (does anyone actually play at 1x speed???)

Pretty cool they show who you can get now. I don't remember this a few months ago when I made my first account.

Here we go. Who will be Mashumellow's first friend...

Darius III, not bad (had to look up his name). A Berserker could speed things up early on.

Opening the gift box after last tutorial map
  • 2 Summoning Tickets
  • 2 Golden Apples
  • 14,000 FP
  • 1 Quartz
  • 1 Attack Fou
  • 1 HP Fou
  • Small loan of a million QP
  • Valentines Letter +2 choco
  • 1 Silver Exp
  • 1 Hero Proof (?)

Summoning Time
Using up all the FP, I got some more EXP cards, leveling Mashu to 17 and Darius to 9. For new servants, I got Mata Hari, Shakespeare, Phantom of the Opera, and Sasaki Kojiro.

Decided to use up the two Summoning Tickets as well and got Jekyll and Euryale. Quite a lot of assassins and I really want a chance to use them all!

Got quite a few 1* to 3* CEs and wanted to know what each one does. Probably not necessary this early, but it's nice to know.

So much maxed out suggested friends.
Tried to find the lowest ones and avoid using them)
  • Tenacity (1*) on Mashu for the 3% Defense
  • Sea of Reed (3*) on Darius for the 1 turn Evade. Figured it would be useful on a Berserker.
  • Just threw a random one on Jekyll (Technique (1*)) for now.

The fights are still pretty easy. I'm sure it'll get a bit more challenging in the next chapter and I'll be required to farm and level up my servants.

First time using Cu Caster's NP. Pretty neat.

Got to map X-B Quest 7. Figured this is a good place to stop. I was short on AP anyway and I don't want the posts to get too long. (Also it was already 3 AM).

I figured the blog format is better at showing just the highlights of the day's gameplay. A Let's Play video format would work here but it would probably be quite boring to watch a 45 minute video (yes tutorial to here took that long) of Fate G/O. I do record the whole session though and will probably upload them anyway next time along with these posts.

Thanks for reading. Comments/suggestions welcome.

  1. Yeah Cu Caster NP is great and you have shaspeare to bust his NP in damage. Good format and keep doing it, is good to see people showing how good are silver and bronze servants.

    2. Shaskpeare bust the damage of buster so you can use that when you have a buster chain, and have a heal with invunerability for second skill, to make him kind of survived beware of rider o that thay focus on him.
